Ana

Dental Assistant

I began my dental career in 1987, and in 2008, I was happy to join Dr. Wortman’s team. As one of his assistants, I work at his side during procedures to make sure everything goes smoothly and our patients are as comfortable as possible. Since I am fluent in both English and Spanish, I enjoy the opportunity to help and translate for our Spanish-speaking patients. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities and the company of my children, Nolan and Lisette. Lisette is now enrolled at Christopher Newport University.

Dental Assistant

I assist Dr. Wortman and our hygiene team with many aspects of our patients’ care. With almost ten years of experience in dentistry, I understand the importance of building a relationship with each patient I meet. The friendships that I have made with my coworkers and patients are what make coming to work each day exciting and new! I am very lucky that my entire family lives in Virginia, and I enjoy spending my free time with them.

Holly

Office Manager/Receptionist

I am responsible for greeting patients with a smile, making appointments, and ensuring that our office runs smoothly from day to day. I have been with Dr. Wortman for over 20 years, and in that time, I’ve gotten to know most of our patients quite well. I love talking and building relationships with our patients and their families. It makes the day go by so fast! I have been married to my husband, Donny, for 26 years. We have two children, Anna and Ben. During vacations from school, Anna used to work part time in the office. She enjoyed it so much that she is now enrolled in dental hygiene school! I am also a new grandmother to Ava Lindsey.

Julie

Dental Hygienist

Joining this team in 2013 with seven years of experience, I provide our patients with dental cleanings, preventive care, periodontal care, and cosmetic services. I enjoy helping patients understand the importance of good dental health and its relationship to overall health. The best part of my job is seeing a patient improve their oral health because of what they’ve learned in our office. In my free time, I love being with my husband, Jae, and our beautiful one-year-old daughter, Alexis.

Kayce

Dental Assistant

I am primarily a dental assistant, but over the past 20 years I have also learned the front desk duties, so I often fill in as a receptionist. I love the camaraderie with my coworkers and the interaction with our patients. I have a great sense of humor and can get even the most apprehensive patient to laugh. I have been married for 20 years to my wonderful husband, Mike. We have two beautiful daughters, Riley and Savannah. In my spare time I enjoy traveling. I have also turned my e-consignment and estate sales hobby into a small, growing business.

Mary

Receptionist/Insurance Specialist

I have the distinct pleasure of welcoming our patients into the office, scheduling and confirming appointments, and am responsible for following up on any outstanding or difficult dental insurance claims. As a member of this team since 1995, I’ve gotten to know many of our patients on a personal level, and have created meaningful relationships with my fellow team members. This includes Dr. Wortman, who in addition to being a great dentist is also a really great guy. I've been married to my wonderful husband, Gary, for 25 years. I am very family-oriented and love the simple pleasures in life, especially the mountains and the beach.
